Report

While globally common, Beavers have been locally extinct (word of the day - extirpated) in most European countries for a couple hundred years. They've been successfully re-introduced most places though. As ever, the British Islanders, with their love of the neat and tidy (beavers make a total mess) have resisted this bitterly.

I visited a lodge in a secret Norfolk location and was treated to a couple of baby beavers making their first solo trips around their home.
