This is my first visit to RSPB Bempton Cliffs, and although I knew what species would be there (Gannet, Razorbill, Guillemot), nothing could have prepared me for the assault on the senses.
This place is loud, and it stinks for good measure. You get used to both though, and then quickly find out why this is one of the best places for bird photography in the UK. Alot of people go for the Puffins, but while you can find some they are few and far away. The Gannets are the real stars and get unnervingly close. A cute bonus was a Wren who really wanted his photo taken - and I was only too happy to oblige.
