I brought my camera along while visiting some family in Scotland not too far away from Lockerbie. The local nature reserve - Eskrigg had a wonderful hide with Red Squirrels frolicing just in front of it and great views of a Great Spotted Woodpecker.
I also visited WWT Caeverlock which is famous for it's geese. Predictably they were too far away to photograph. There was a very friendly Sedge Warbler though!
I was able to get some of my best bird in flight shots of Barn Swallow.
Finally, on a hike to Loch Skeen via the Grey Mares Tail waterfall I took a couple of landscape shots. Think I'll be sticking to wildlife for the most part.
