True Buzzards

Buzzards, scientifically known as Buteo, are medium to large raptors with broad wings and rounded tails, often seen soaring in wide circles. Identifiable by their variable plumage - ranging from dark brown to pale with mottled patterns. They inhabit diverse regions across North America, Europe, and Asia. They favor open country, woodlands, and grasslands, where they hunt small mammals and birds from perches or in flight.
